The First Leading Edge Conference in Diagnostic Ultrasound in Canada (October 11-12, 2008)

The first "Leading Edge Conference in Diagnostic Ultrasound" took place in the heart of the wild West Coast at Middle Beach Lodge, Tofino, BC, Canada. It was Thanksgiving weekend and not only the lodge was full, but the nearby resorts including campsites and RV parks were brimming with outdoor and nature enthusiasts. People come from all over the world to visit with the storms, to surf the perfect waves, to enjoy a walk on the beach and now to be ignited by world class speakers in radiology. This year a select group of sonographers had the opportunity to experience the passion of our dedicated speakers. Our world class speakers are popular among ultrasound radiologists in their specialized field, and their dedication to the advancement of ultrasound application will inspire sonographers to identify pathologies consistently and confidently at the earliest stages.

Our participants at the first Leading Edge Conference in Diagnostic Ultrasound came from: Toronto, Vancouver, Richmond, Surrey, Delta, Nanaimo, Comox, Campbell River and Victoria.
Thank-you to everyone for making the first Leading Edge Conference in Diagnostic Ultrasound in Canada a huge success!

Our notable speakers are patient focused, enthusiastic in teaching diagnostic ultrasound, and they are commited to presenting the latest advances in diagnostic ultrasound with highest standards of practice helping our audience to Stay Current with rapidly changing technology. The friendly, intimate environment provided our participants with plenty of opportunities to discuss their questions with our faculty at the Conference.

General comments by participants:

"I just want to thank you and Ruth for doing such a fantastic job on the conference. I am so glad we went. I think it may be the best conference I have ever been to! The venue and the quality of speakers was outstanding."

"I want to thank you and Ruth for the wonderful seminar in Tofino. It was a pleasure to be at an Ultrasound conference with a layed back feeling. The Radiologists you had, were very good speakers but more importantly very approachable (very refreshing). All of your enthusiasm for ultrasound rubs off and I am looking foward to coming to future lectures and implementing what I have learned."

"Thanks for arranging such a wonderful and insightful conference, I thoroughly learnt a lot from it and met some very interesting people."
